There are some feature we are currently beeing working on planing to implement for future versions:

  • more sophisticated vector rendering via Agg

  • more sophisticated font rendering via Agg

  • more advanced algorithms to work with digitalized paper

  • support to off-load work to multi CPUs / multi cores and the GPU

  • converting more code to the new, higher performance image iterator

  • support for SIMD instructions

  • more color spaces, sample precision

  • XMP/Exif meta-data handling
